Welcome to Buy Evergreen Shrubs!

My name is Doug Hall and I have a unique perspective when it comes to buying plants online. I was in marketing and merchandising, behind the scenes, with four of the largest online plant nurseries for over 10 years. I’ve been involved with online nurseries since 2009. I created this site hoping people like you can use it as a resource. A place to help you become more informed to decide what trees and shrubs you want. Hopefully, we can also become an independent resource to make you more comfortable who you are buying from online.

The team at Buy Evergreen Shrubs.com is dedicated to help you because every single person and their landscape needs are different.  Our goal is to help guide to make those decisions.  At the same time, we want to cut through the ‘fluff’ of the online reviews and focus on what we can find out about each online nursery.

We also have a horticulturist, master gardener and arborist that we frequently consult with.  We have the resources and experience to help you with almost any landscaping or plant question.

About our price comparisons

Together, our staff has either ordered, visited (to evaluate) or worked with over 50 online garden centers.

We strive to compare prices from online nurseries that we have experienced send the highest quality plants at the lowest prices.  Keep in mind that we may receive commissions when you click our links and make purchases. However, this does not impact our reviews, price comparisons or the price you pay. We try our best to keep things fair and balanced to help you make the best choices.

About our product reviews

We place orders for various plants online and then post on our blog pictures of the unboxing along with our review. We pay for the order and we do not get paid for any reviews. This led to one of the largest online nurseries sending us a rooted in, tiny (yet expensive) fruit tree. You can view pictures of our crooked little meyer lemon tree here.
