Yuletide Camellia is a Sasanqua variety. Sasanqua varieties are known to be able to handle a little bit more sun then the Japonica varieties. Sasanqua Camellia shrubs also have smaller leaves and don’t grow as big as Japonica varieties. The flowers come out in early winter on sasanqua varieties versus late winter for Japonica varieties.

Yuletide Camellia growth rate is considered moderate. Expect between 6 to 9 inches new growth per year.  Pruning should be done in spring, after all the flowers are done blooming.  Technically, you can prune a Camellia any time of the year. Just keep in mind you may lose out on a few flowers if you prune them in the fall.
