White Flower Farm Review

White Flower Farm is family-owned and has a solid reputation within the industry.  If you're interested in gardening tools, perennials, annuals & general garden center items, White Flower Farm has a nice selection.  They're ranked a little lower in our case because we focus on evergreen trees and shrubs. That is not their specialty. In fact, they are one of our top-rated online nurseries to buy perennials.

Perennials & annuals seem to be White Flower Farm's specialty. Annuals are always so tender & fragile, I can't imagine the packing details involved to get them ready for shipping. A lot of reviews online seem to be focused on the quality of plants on arrival.  I would expect multi-day shipping in a box with no light would cause some drooping/wilting.  I would also expect most to come back to life after a day or 2 in the sun & some water.

Reviews and Complaints

There also seems to be a fair number of reviews/complaints regarding their customer service. It doesn't seem to be a major issue but it has put White Flower Farm at a 3.5 rating out of a 5-star rating with Google. There are only 104 reviews, so not a lot to go off of. White Flower Farms does have a good rating on Facebook. As of a few months ago, it had a 4.5 rating with 236 reviews. That's pretty good.

White Flower Farm's guarantee is pretty straightforward. "While we cannot accept responsibility for losses caused by extreme weather, neglect, or inappropriate climate zone (clearly indicated for every variety), we DO guarantee your complete satisfaction or your money will be cheerfully refunded." 

White Flower Farm Ship costs and delivery schedules are very detailed. While their standard shipping rates are about normal for the industry, White Flower Farm is one of the few online nurseries that offer express (3 days) and Priority (2 days) shipping.

What were the red flags?  

• Only two things and neither one is a huge issue.  Their site has a lot of information.  A LOT.  That's a good thing but some of the menus & navigation are not very intuitive.  It can be intimidating.
• While we found the White Flower Farm Guarantee, we could not find any details regarding returns or terms of service. That doesn't mean they don't have them, just that we couldn't find anything after looking for them.
