Bonfire Peach Trees Are Great for Containers Around a Patio

This ornamental peach tree not only produces tasty and sweet fruit, but it becomes a statement point for any yard or garden. It features dark green to purple-black leaves. This foliage is the perfect backdrop to the red-orange fruit the tree produces.

BONFIRE PATIO PEACH TREE CARE

This variety of peach fruit tree prefers full sun and well-draining soil. It can tolerate sandy soil sites. The tree will benefit from a slow-release fertilizer applied once a year at the top of the root ball in early spring to help with fruit production.

Dig a hole the size of the nursery container the orders ship in. Be sure not to clip back any roots unless they are tangled. Your Bonfire peach patio tree will want room for the roots to grow. Choose a planting spot or a container with plenty of room for the root systems to thrive. If you are putting your Prunus persica bonfire tree in a container, be sure to choose a pot with drainage holes for the best results.

It is a self-fertile peach variety but having another small peach tree around can improve cross-pollination. Water newly planted trees thoroughly during the first year to help establish a strong root system.
