Description
April Dawn was bred specifically for improved cold hardiness. It also blooms a little bit later than most Camellia japonica’s. April Dawn Camellia’s produce double blooms which are very fragrant. The flowers are white with pink stripes. Foliage is a dark, glossy green.
Because they have dense branching, April Dawn would make a great medium size hedge. Their growth rate is moderate. They can handle some sun but prefer shade.
