‘Whipcord’ is a small, deer resistant arborvitae (thuja) shrub. The texture is unique to thuja’s with glossy, drooping, dark green foliage. It features fascinating bronze coloring in winter. Whipcord Arborvitae is one tough shrub that thrives in many soil conditions, including clay. Whipcord thuja shrubs grow best when pkanted in full sun but they can handle some shade.

Whipcord Arborvitae’s unique, drooping foliage makes it a great shrub as a single specimen to create visual interest. It can also be used along foundations, in rock gardens and borders.
