This is not a ground cover for areas that might get a lot of foot traffic. Blue Rug Creeping Juniper is also very popular because it literally doesn’t need pruning. The only time you would ever want to prune is if it is growing over an area you don’t want it on. Unwanted excess foliage can be pruned away any time of the year.
