Wintergreen Boxwood is an Adaptable, Versatile Evergreen Shrub

Wintergreen Boxwood is very popular for year round because of their small, glossy evergreen leaves. Wintergreen Boxwood shrubs are a smaller boxwood, making them great for tight spaces. They’re popular for use as foundation plants and shorter hedges. Also known as Korean Boxwood, it is very cold hardy. It is known for keeping its dark green glossy leaves all year.

Plant these Boxwood shrubs in an area that gets partial sun. They can handle full sun but could get stressed if they get a lot of late afternoon sun in the summer. Spacing them 3 to 4 feet apart will create a nice, medium size hedge.

Wintergreen Boxwood’s are often used by professional landscapers because they don’t need a lot of attention. Wintergreen Boxwood shrubs can also handle pretty heavy pruning so go ahead and make it whatever shape you want!
