Description
Owari Satsuma Mandarin Trees Are Very Cold Hardy
Owari Satsuma Mandarin Orange is one of the most cold hardy citrus trees, tolerating temperatures down to 28 degrees. It is not recommended you keep them outdoors for any extended time with sub-freezing temperatures. They are small enough to grow in a container and bring indoors during colder weather. Besides its hardy nature, the fruit is seedless and these mandarins are regarded as some of the sweetest and easiest to peel.
Although they can grow as tall as 12 feet, Owari Satsuma Orange trees can easily be kept pruned to a smaller height, making them ideal to grow in containers in colder climates to bring them indoors during winter. Just keep your tree near a sunny window.
