Also called Sweet Bay. The leaves of the Bay Laurel are the spice used in cooking for soups, stews and sauces. Grow Bay Laurel in a container in colder climates (zones 4 through 7) and bring indoors in winter. Bay Laurel can be grown outdoors year round in zones 8 to 11.
