The Peacock plant is a very attractive Calathea with strikingly patterned leaves. Easy to grow house plant. Provide bright, indirect light and keep evenly moist, not wet or dry. Prune as needed.
With good humidity and warmth, this plant can be an extremely attractive indoor foliage plant. Best grown with a well-drained humusy potting mixture. Plants may be sited in part shade to shade locations. Peacock plants enjoy high humidity. Consider standing plant pot on bed of wet pebbles to increase humidity or grow in humidified rooms.
Water regularly to keep soils moist during the growing season. Does not require winter dormancy, but appreciates a resting period with reduced watering from fall to late winter.
