Black Dragon Snake Plant

Description

Deep Green Intensifies in Low Light!

The shiny, dark leaves of Snake Plant Black Dragon create an amazing contrast against any light colored walls. It’s a shorter type snake plant but it will make a huge statement against the bright walls. It only gets 10 to 16 inches tall.

This is a hybrid Bird’s Nest form of the Snake Plant and is small and compact. It’s an unusual snake plant because the leaves are not variegated. It’s smaller size makes it perfect shelves, end tables or nightstands.

Black Dragon Snake Plant can also do well in low and artificial light. This also makes this Snake plant popular for office desks.

Sansevierias or as they are commonly called Snake Plants or Mother-in-law’s Tongue have a rich history of Chinese folklore and new science. Sansevierias were used as part of NASA’s clean air plant study.

Growing the Snake Plant is easy. It will thrive in very bright light to almost dark corners of the house. Just water when the soil is dry.

  • The deep green-black color will intensify in low-light.

Are Snake Plants safe for dogs & cats?

They are considered mildly toxic to both cats and dogs. Sansevieria, the Snake Plant, also called Mothers-in-Law tongue, contain saponins. These are natural chemicals produced by the plant to protect it from insects, microbes and fungi. The level of toxin, however, is relatively low and the complications for a pet that ingests the plant are usually limited to gastrointestinal upset.
